Background

The Association of Zimbabwe Consultants was founded in May 1992 to provide a forum for consultants to meet and promote the profession. The Association was converted and formally registered as an Institute in 2013 as Zimbabwe Institute of Consulting (ZNIC) in terms of section 26 of the Companies Act (Chapter 24.03).



Objectives

  • To promote, disseminate and deliver management consulting knowledge and information, including related disciplines.
  • To promote the attainment, by its members, of credible, recognized and sought-after management consulting qualifications as well as capacity building activities.
  • To register members of the Institute, support and safeguard their mutual interests and generally superintend over the members.
  • To offer a platform for management consultants to engage in dialogue that advance the interest of the profession.
  • To represent the views of members to relevant government of Zimbabwe authorities and other bodies outside Zimbabwe on matters affecting their business.
  • To advocate for visibility in the market place, the competencies and service offerings of its members thus facilitating greater access to resources and market share.

    Eric Dumisani Zinyengerere – CMC Zimbabwe President

    Eric Dumisani Zinyengere works as a Coach, Consultant and Catalyst whose purpose in life is to help people and businesses unlock and exploit their full potential. Eric is a certified management consultant (CMC) and trainer running his own company TEAM Consulting based in Zimbabwe and operating in the Southern African Region. In this context Eric has spent the last five years working as National Country Coach to the Government of Zimbabwe supporting reforms around the “Doing Business” environment and has also supported other related reform programs across the public sector. Eric is also involved in various entrepreneurial ventures outside of consultancy to diversify his business portfolio. Outside of his professional work he is past ZIMCHE Council Member, seats on various Associations and Christian Ministry boards, has been a lecturer in Leadership and Management at diploma and Masters level and also works with various organisations in training Christian leaders at both the local and international level with a focus on stewardship, goal setting and youth development. Eric holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics an MSc in Strategic Management and an MA in Leadership and Management.

    Simon Nyazenga – Vice President

    SIMON NYAZENGA – B. Acc (Hons.), MBL (Unisa), Fellow Chartered Secretary FCIS, Certified Internal Auditor (USA), Certified Risk Management Assurer, Certified Management Consultant and Executive Diploma in General Management.

    Simon has more than twenty-eight years directing diversified teams in Risk, governance, internal audit, training, financial management and consultancy. He has directed more than 250 mandates in Zimbabwe and the region. He is currently the Managing Consultant of Leanel Financial Services(Pvt)Ltd and Executive Director of Letsatsi Hospitality(Pvt) Ltd, companies that he co-founded. He has previously served in executive roles in mining, conglomerates as well as diversified groups in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania including the region, where he directed financial management, auditing, advisory, due diligence and training. He also worked for TSL, Rift Valley Corporation and Metallon Gold as Audit Executive and Director. Simon is a  leader, trainer, facilitator, consultant and researcher for  IIAZ, ICSA, Empretec, the IIA Global and private clients. He has been a Non-executive Director for Prison Fellowship Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Aids Network and is still NED for the Institute of Internal Auditors Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Institute of Management Consultants.

    Monica Nyachowe (PhD, MSc, BA Hns) - Treasurer

    Dr Monica Nyachowe (PHD) has more than 20 years of teaching and administration of schools at various levels, including being a school head at the Dominican Convent School in Harare. Moved to lecturing and has more than six years of tertiary education experience. Has been involved in consultancy work with Gonglow and has worked as assist to free-lance consultant Maggie Okore in various projects. Dr Nyachowe areas of interest in consultancy are leadership and governance, education and management. Dr Nyachowe’s strength is the areas of education educational leadership and management and is the Acting Director at School of Leadership at Arrupe Jesuit University. Her academic work includes a PhD in leadership, management and policy from the University of Kwazulu Natal South Africa, a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management from Newcastle University United Kingdom and a BA and BA honours from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

    Namrod Gonyora – Past President

    Namrod Gonyora is the President of CMC Zimbabwe. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with over 30 years experience as a Management consultant, Board member, Audit Committee Chair, executive and technical expert in Corporate Governance, Enterprise Rrisk Management, Internal Audit, Information Technology and Systems, Human Resources for Health Systems and Research. In addition to CMC, he is also a holder of professional qualifications in Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Qualification in Computer Auditing (QiCA) and MSc in Audit graduate from Birmingham City University – UK. Is Managing Consultant for Gonglow Consultancy and Academy, CMC Certification Assessor, and ICMCI Quality Assurance. Has authored academic Modules in Internal Auditing, Information Systems Auditing and Internal Audit Consulting for a Degree Programme. Namrod is past Chief Audit Executive at Old Mutual Central Africa (OMCA) a financial services firm that comprised operations in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kenya and had an opportunity to work in the UK at Group office. Is past Assistant General Manager (Information Technology), Senior Information Systems Manager and Corporate Systems Development Manager for Old Mutual Zimbabwe. Is also past Chief Internal Auditor and Accountant for the Cold Storage Commission.

    Dout Jolani - EXCO Member ICT

    Holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science from National University of Science and Technology, the Gold standard in IT Security; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner and a Master degree in Management from University of Zimbabwe. He has vast experience in IT working for NCR Zimbabwe (1997-98) and then other organisations where he held various positions namely IT Systems administrator for Cairns Foods, Country IT Coordinator at Plan International, Senior IT and Security Administrator for RioTinto at Murowa Diamonds and IT Security Manager of Premier finance Group. Dout is also a regular speaker on IT Security for local presentations. Dout is the founder of ICTS Consultants offering IT and IT Security Consultancy through his company and has been working in this capacity since 2010. In that capacity he has worked for a Project in Rwanda and locally he has undertaken IT Security projects and consultancy for various corporate entities.
